Of all the important messages they could share via JW broadcasting as the end is so close, they share recipies, and address other trivial matters. -

***Proclaimers book (1993) jv chap. 21 p. 340 How Is It All Financed? ***As early as the second issue of the WatchTower,in August 1879, Brother Russell stated: “‘Zion’s Watch Tower’ has, we believe, JEHOVAH for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support. When He who says: ‘All the goldand silver of the mountains are mine,’ fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it to be time to suspend the publication.” -

Question: refuse, or limit to collaborate with elder inquiry?
by prologos inshould a teen, a child of a believing mother, cooperate in the fact-gathering of the elders into the waywardness (not sex related, hopefully) of some local teenagers?
what scenarios can you see playing out?
all teens to clam up?

I would only cooperate if it regards matters that we need to be addressed in a non-JW setting. For exemple, something the school may wish to investigate. Otherwise, little good can come from this. -

Did you get " Counseled " about the Music you Listened to While you were a JW ?
by flipper infrom the time i was a small boy - i loved rock n' roll music.
beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.
i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

Once while having some JW guests, they checked my CD collection while I was in the kitchen cooking their dinner and reported to the elders that certain music was not wholesome and that they were stumbled. One elder visited me and suggested that I should get rid of my hard rock and metal music. I said that was not happening, but that I knew who I would not be inviting to my house anymore. He then suggested that I should hide the stumbling music from sight...which sounded hypocryte to me.
Shortley thereafter I was deleted when word got around that I has attended a certain hard rock concert. Their loss not mine...

WT Study 1/10/16 Encouraging Child Baptism And More Nonsense
by JW_Rogue ini've noticed that each wt lesson really only has one or two points they want remembered.
normally they build up to these by about the third subheading.
this week's lesson though was different, the main point was insidiously made through an experience in the first paragraph:.

Interesting in The Golden Age June 6, 1934 p.571 - "What is Real Baptism?" the article shows that 12 years old is to be considered "infant baptism". It also uses Numbers 4 to scriptural demonstrate that one must be of ... the magazine stated that Jesus did not contemplate baptism at 12 and still viewed this as infant baptism.

The story of my exit
by mrsObfuscate ini have been lurking here for about 6 months, and being the last day of the year, and ready to start the new one afresh, i want to share the story of our exit from the org.
i have found the personal experiences of others of immeasurable value, (and its been a while since a good exit story has been posted) that i hope this can be of benefit to at least someone.. .
my mother became a jehovahs witness when i was about 9 or 10. i remember initially hating all of the new sanctions put on our lives (no birthdays and christmas anymore) but for some reason i soon after joined her in attending the meetings and eventually got baptized at the age of 14. my staunch catholic father converted a couple of years later.
